Hong Kong’s monetary regulators plan to crack down on over-the-counter (OTC) crypto buying and selling exercise within the city-state, in line with a Bloomberg report.
The report says that Hong Kong’s Monetary Providers and the Treasury Bureau earlier this month kicked off consultations targeted on combating fraudulent exercise, terrorism financing and cash laundering within the OTC crypto conversion enterprise.
Bloomberg experiences that Hong Kong plans to institute laws that may require bodily over-the-counter crypto exchanges to gather and preserve buyer data in addition to rent compliance employees.
